Established in Europe in the 1980s, Hypopressives is a unique whole body training approach using breathing and postural techniques to create positive changes in the core, pelvic floor and posture.
Most pelvic floor and core exercises train conscious core control, however, hypopressives works differently by decreasing internal pressure in the abdominal and pelvic areas of the body therefore re-programming the core muscles to work again as they were designed to – without you having to think about it.
Diaphragmatic breathing also has a powerful effect on your nervous system and in addition to reducing stress and tension, can also reduce inflammation in the body leading to the easing of pain.
Due to the powerful changes in your core, hypopressives is as relevant for athletes looking to improve their inner strength as it is for postnatal Mums, menopausal ladies, gentlemen with prostate issues, those with back pain or individuals looking for postural realignment due to our everyday living.

Michelle is an experienced Level 2 hypopressives trainer and offers one-to-one sessions in addition to small group classes.
Having her own pelvic floor complications after childbirth added to a thoracic spine injury years previously, Michelle was inspired to become a trainer and enable others to reclaim their confidence by restoring their posture, core & pelvic floor and enjoy the freedom of getting back out there, loving exercise and having a full social life again!

The full 1-1 bespoke package begins with postural assessments, an introduction to diaphragmatic breathing and coaching in each of the foundation postures building up to the full ‘Hypopressives Flow’. It’s conducted via 5 x 75 minute sessions (either in person or online) with a personalised follow up after each session and a training guide at the end. This tailored signature package costs £347. Group hypopressives sessions are also available to anyone who has trained with me previously.
